Military & Service Connections

With eight years of dedicated service in the Royal Navy Regulars, I bring a wealth of firsthand military experience to my role as a mental health nurse and psychotherapist. I draw upon my military background and experiences such as; supporting aviation experts at RNAS Culdrose, serving at sea on HMS QNLZ during Westland 19, and supporting Royal Marines and Special Forces, to bring a deeper understanding of the unique challenges faced by veterans and military personnel. Through reflection on my military journey, I bring empathy, insight, and a profound sense of duty to my therapeutic practice, ensuring that those who have served in any force receive the compassionate care they deserve.

My military connections do not end with my own service as my husband is also a veteran.

Now serving as a Royal Navy Reserve, I continue to uphold my commitment to military service.

My Experience

With more than a decade of dedicated service in mental health settings, I bring expertise as a passionate psychotherapist and mental health nurse, proficient at addressing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges. My professional journey includes significant roles within the Armed Forces and experience working within Veteran Services. I offer evidenced based practice for a range of diagnosis and have extensive experience managing PTSD and navigating complex clinical presentations.

As a skilled practitioner I also enjoy supervising others, particularly those wanting to better their knowledge and skills in working with trauma presentations. As supervisor I draw on my own clinical skills and experience, creating a safe, collaborative and friendly environment to support your clinical practice.

My Commitment to You

Seeking help and addressing past trauma can seem overwhelming, I am aware of this and will pace treatment so that you feel safe at all times. My therapeutic approach is characterised by its non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative nature. Together, we will progress toward achieving your personal goals.
