My Experience

I am an enthusiastic, skilled, and highly motivated practitioner with over 18 years’ worth of experience working within the Mental Health field. I have worked within secondary mental health services and the voluntary sector, but most of my career has been shaped by working in dynamic NHS primary care IAPT services. I am experienced in the assessment and treatment of both common and complex mental health concerns, using skills based in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Mindfulness. I specialise in working with trauma and am well versed in comprehensive risk assessment methods.

I also enjoy delivering clinical supervision to fellow practitioners both within the NHS and my private practice. My approach is friendly and supportive. I am dedicated to developing my skill and knowledge set through regular training and research.
